Micros Simulation Server Installation Instructions Please read all Instructions prior to Installation. BEFORE WE BEGIN... ALL Current CGS Software Products REQUIRE PERVASIVE SQL version 7.0 or greater. These Software Modules will no longer function under BTRIEVE version 6.15 or earlier. If you are NOT currently running Pervasive SQL 7.0 or greater, please call CGS at (561)392-6740. PREPARATION... NOTES... The best time to perform any installation is prior to any business in the morning, when the backup is current and complete. It may be important to know what version you were using before the installation. Please go into your current Micros Simulation Server and write down the version number that appears at the top of the main screen. Ver ____R____ INSTALLATION... NOTES... When the symbol ^ is part of a command to be typed, do not type it. Instead, hit the Spacebar once. When the phrase (hit enter) is part of a command to be typed, do not type it. Instead, hit the enter key. Change your DOS prompt to the DCP sub-directory, or the sub-directory where your programs are located. CGSI standard locations are: c:\micros - for stand alone computer. m: or n: - for PC LAN m: or n: - for NOVELL LAN m: or n: - for NT LAN To change drive letters, type: m: (hit enter) ...where "m" is the letter of the drive you want to go to. To change directories type: CD\MICROS (hit enter) ...where "\MICROS" is the name of the directory you want to go to. To verify that the programs are located in the current sub-directory, type: DIR ^ MSS.* (hit enter) If the following file appears, you are in the correct sub-directory... mss.exe In an earlier step of this upgrade, you probably downloaded the new version of Micros Simulator from the CGS Website at WWW.COMPUTERGOLF.COM\DOWNLOAD.HTM. This new version should now be stored on a floppy diskette and labeled MSS53R01. Place that diskette in drive A: and type: A:MSS53R01^ -OVERWRITE (hit enter) One file will be copied onto your computer. When it is finished, remove the installation disk. ALL DONE!
