ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE VERSION 55 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

THIS INSTALLATION REQUIRES A REGISTRATION CODE BEFORE YOU INSTALL!!!

Please read all Instructions prior to Installation.

BEFORE WE BEGIN...

    ALL Current CGS Software Products REQUIRE PERVASIVE SQL
    version 7.0 or greater. If you are NOT currently running
    Pervasive SQL 7.0 or greater, please call CGS (561)392-6740.

PREPARATION NOTES...

      The best time to perform any installation is prior to any
      business in the morning, when the backup is current and
      complete.
     
      All period files from any POS or A/R units must be posted.
      If you have any unposted period files, please post them
      before starting this installation

      It may be important to know what version you were using
      before the installation.  Please go into your current
      Accounts Receivable and write down the version number
      that appears at the top of the main menu screen

      ALL STATIONS MUST BE OUT OF ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE BEFORE
      THE INSTALLATION CAN PROCEED.

INSTALLATION NOTES...

      When the symbol ^ is part of a command to be typed, do
      not type it. Instead, hit the Spacebar once.

      When the phrase (hit enter) is part of a command to be
      typed, do not type it. Instead, hit the enter key.

    Determine where your Accounts Receivable files are located.
    To do so, from your windows desktop, Right-click on the 
    Accounts Receivable Icon, go to Properties, and then Progam
    or Shortcut page.  Write down the Command or Target line
    exactly as you see it.
    [Examples]  f:\apps\dcp    (Novell Network)
                h:\apps\dcp    (NT Network)
                d:             (PC Lan)
                c:\cgs         (stand alone computer)

    Write path here: _________________________________________
    Close this window.

    

    From the desktop, click on START, go to PROGRAMS and click
    on MSDOSPROMPT.

    At C:\WINDOWS> Type in the drive letter that you wrote down.
    [In the first example f:] and then hit ENTER.
    If your drive letter is C: type CD\
    The prompt will change to the drive letter that you entered.
   
    To change directories type:

               CD\DCP (hit enter)
               ...where "\DCP" is the name of the directory
                  you want to go to.

    To verify that the programs are located in the current
    sub-directory, type:

               DIR ^ ARNEW.* (hit enter)

    If the following files appear, you are in the correct
    sub-directory...

               ARNEW.EXE     ARNEW.OVR

    In an earlier step of this upgrade, you probably downloaded
    the new version of Accounts Receivable from the CGS Website 
    at WWW.COMPUTERGOLF.COM  Store this new version on a floppy
    diskette and label it AR55R01.
    
    Place that diskette in drive A: and type:

               A:ARN55R01^ -OVERWRITE (hit enter)

    Two files will be copied onto your computer.  When it is
    finished, remove the installation disk.  The program is now
    installed, but a few steps still remain before it is
    operational.

STARTING ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE VERSION 55 FOR THE FIRST TIME...

    Enter the Accounts Receivable program with your standard
    command, or Windows Icon.


REGISTRATION:
    
    Registering the new version is mandatory.  The software will
    not function until it is completed. Find your registration code.
    When the registry screen appears, check that the club name
    next to the registration code is exactly the same that you
    can see on the screen.
	
	1. Enter the Club name exactly as registered if necessary,
           and hit ENTER
  
        2. Enter the assigned registered number and hit ENTER.

        3. When the Accounts Receivable Main Menu appears, verify
           that the version number at the top of the screen is
           version 55r01
    


   ALL DONE!
